Description
Label a QC sample's one-based run position.
Quality-control results depend on measurement basis, calibration reference, rounding, limit inclusion and decision rules. A raw result can lie on a different side of a boundary from its reported value. Guard bands and relative differences must retain their exact definitions; a local comparison does not select a valid specification or establish conformance.
Label a QC sample's one-based run position.
When to use this tool
Use QC Run Sequence Position Label when you already have runId, oneBasedPosition, sampleId and need to label a QC sample's one-based run position.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter runId, oneBasedPosition, sampleId. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read label. Use the output convention below.
Require nonempty runId/sampleId and safe whole position>=1; format run #position [sample].1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| runId | Run Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| oneBasedPosition | One Based Position | Required. Safe integer; minimum 1. |
| sampleId | Sample Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| label | Label | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- No run order, identity, sequence uniqueness or laboratory suitability is verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Apply the documented measurement method, calibration records and complete decision rule when judging a result. Keep raw values, reported values, uncertainty and endpoint inclusion visible; a supplied guard band or replicate term does not select that rule.
