Description

Supplied pause-union clock accounting, without selecting permit law.

An administrative calculation applies supplied clocks, fees, exclusions, roles, and document conditions. Numeric consistency and an explicit condition match can be useful record checks. They do not select the governing authority, verify evidence, or establish legal rights and obligations.

When to use this tool

Use Permit Clock Pause Overlap Term when you need a supplied administrative fee, clock, role, document, or accounting calculation before checking its substantive basis.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter elapsed, firstPause, secondPause, sharedPause, suppliedLimit. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read activeElapsed, margin. Use the output convention below.

Subtract firstPause+secondPause-sharedPause from elapsed for activeElapsed and compare it with suppliedLimit for margin. Require nonnegative feasible pauses and limit.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Overlap is a supplied duration credit, not computed from timestamps. The tool does not determine legally excludable time, agency calendars, pause authorization, or a binding deadline.
  • The field tables state structural bounds; the mechanics also specify cross-field constraints. Malformed inputs and unsupported domains cause errors. A successful false flag, empty branch value, or zero placeholder has the meaning stated above and is distinct from an input error.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Consult the applicable authoritative rule and verify source records before deciding fees, authority, deadlines, or obligations. Keep a supplied scenario calculation separate from that evidence review.
