Set Completeness Percentage Calculator
Audit exact issue IDs for set completeness, separating duplicates and off-set inventory. Caller independently verifies observations, reference edition, units and applicability; not a grading-service certificate, authentication, conservation treatment, actual market price or legal/insurance entitlement.
Description
Set completeness measures how many explicitly required stamp IDs are present in an owned inventory.
Set completeness measures how many explicitly required stamp IDs are present in an owned inventory.1
This checker also exposes duplicate owned entries and entries outside the required set.
When to use Set Completeness Percentage Calculator
Use this tool when you need to summarize the supplied collecting records or matched observations. Prepare independently verified observations, reference edition/context, and matching units or currency basis.
How to use Set Completeness Percentage Calculator and understand its results
- Prepare independently verified observations, reference edition/context, and matching units or currency basis.
- Enter requiredIssueIds, ownedIssueIds, following the field table and calculation rules below, then run the tool.
- Read completenessPercent, missingIssueIds, duplicateOwnedIssueIds, outsideSetIssueIds. For result objects, inspect the nested output fields below, including any missing evidence or selected indices.
- Correct any input issues and run again. Before using a successful result, review its units, signs, evidence coverage, and stated model or reference assumptions.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| requiredIssueIds | Required issue ids | list of string | Required |
| ownedIssueIds | Owned issue ids | list of string | Required |
Require unique nonblank required IDs. Build a case-sensitive Set of owned IDs, count required IDs present, and return percentage and missing IDs in required order. Owned IDs may repeat; duplicateOwned and outsideOwned keep first-unique order. Matching does not trim or normalize identifiers.
completenessPercent=100×presentRequired/requiredCount Read these symbols with the field meanings and branch or reference rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| completenessPercent | Completeness percent | number |
| missingIssueIds | Missing issue ids | list of string |
| duplicateOwnedIssueIds | Duplicate owned issue ids | list of string |
| outsideSetIssueIds | Outside set issue ids | list of string |

} Limitations and assumptions
Observations, reference edition, and applicability are independently supplied. Arithmetic and reference summaries do not provide authentication, a certified grade, or an actual market price.
Missing required fields, unknown fields, wrong types, and violated calculation rules return input issues. Arrays must be dense, with no missing cells. Ordinary string lists allow at most 128 strings of at most 128 UTF-16 units each.
Alternative or Complementary methods
For a related task, use Collection Total Catalogue Value Aggregator: A collection total combines each supplied unit amount with the number of examples held. This aggregator uses checked integer minor-unit arithmetic so the result follows the stated reference values and quantities exactly. For a complementary step, use Album Pages Needed for Collection Size Calculator: An album layout with a fixed number of usable slots per page determines how many pages an inventory needs. This planner rounds upward and reports the unused slots on the allocated pages.
