Collection Total Catalogue Value Aggregator

Sum exact caller same-edition/currency catalogue lines and physical quantities, not a liquidation value. Caller independently verifies observations, reference edition, units and applicability; not a grading-service certificate, authentication, conservation treatment, actual market price or legal/insurance entitlement.

Description

A collection total combines each supplied unit amount with the number of examples held.

A collection total combines each supplied unit amount with the number of examples held.1

This aggregator uses checked integer minor-unit arithmetic so the result follows the stated reference values and quantities exactly.

When to use Collection Total Catalogue Value Aggregator

Use this tool when you need to summarize the supplied collecting records or matched observations. Prepare independently verified observations, reference edition/context, and matching units or currency basis.

How to use Collection Total Catalogue Value Aggregator and understand its results

  1. Prepare independently verified observations, reference edition/context, and matching units or currency basis.
  2. Enter unitCatalogueValuesMinor, quantities, following the field table and calculation rules below, then run the tool.
  3. Read totalCatalogueValueMinor, lineCatalogueValuesMinor. For result objects, inspect the nested output fields below, including any missing evidence or selected indices.
  4. Correct any input issues and run again. Before using a successful result, review its units, signs, evidence coverage, and stated model or reference assumptions.
Input fieldMeaningValue typeRequirement

Require nonempty aligned nonnegative safe-integer unit values and quantities. Multiply each pair with BigInt and reject products outside the safe-integer range, then sum with checked exact arithmetic. Zero quantities are allowed; no duplicates, currency conversion, or market adjustments are inferred.

lineMinor_i=unitMinor_i×quantity_i; totalMinor=ΣlineMinor_i

Read these symbols with the field meanings and branch or reference rules above.

lineCatalogueValuesMinorLine catalogue values minor; integer minor units in the explicit currency basis.list of number

Where monetary amounts are used, keep one explicit currency and minor-unit basis; one basis point is 0.01 percent. Monetary integers and exact products must remain in JavaScript’s safe-integer range. Rational rounding uses nearest minor unit with half ties away from zero, rather than binary floating-point rounding. An input called a reference amount does not fetch or establish an actual price.

Limitations and assumptions

Observations, reference edition, and applicability are independently supplied. Arithmetic and reference summaries do not provide authentication, a certified grade, or an actual market price.

Missing required fields, unknown fields, wrong types, and violated calculation rules return input issues. Numeric values must be finite; nonfinite numeric outputs are rejected. Arrays must be dense, with no missing cells. Numeric lists allow at most 10000 entries, subject to smaller tool-specific bounds above.

Alternative or Complementary methods

For a related task, use Set Completeness Percentage Calculator: Set completeness measures how many explicitly required stamp IDs are present in an owned inventory. This checker also exposes duplicate owned entries and entries outside the required set. For a complementary step, use Catalogue Value Base Lookup by Number Entry: A catalogue base value belongs to a specific edition, currency, issue, and condition convention. This lookup returns the minor-unit amount paired with an exact supplied key, without retrieving a current catalogue.
