Description

Count missing voucher/extraction IDs and rows matching a supplied verified-voucher list.

Botanical laboratory records distinguish wet mass, dry matter, carriers, extract mass, and assay response. A fraction or reference comparison depends on the chosen material basis and supplied analytical method. Voucher and monograph metadata help identify records but do not themselves authenticate a specimen or establish product quality.

Count missing voucher/extraction IDs and rows matching a supplied verified-voucher list.

When to use this tool

Use Botanical Extract Source Gap when you need this mass-basis, assay-response, extraction, or source-record calculation for supplied laboratory data.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter sampleIds, voucherIds, extractionRecordIds, verifiedVoucherIds. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read missingVoucher, missingExtractionRecord, verifiedVoucherRecords. Use the output convention below.

Require aligned sampleIds, voucherIds, and extractionRecordIds. Count exact empty voucher and extraction-record strings, and rows with nonempty voucher IDs present in verifiedVoucherIds.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Counts are row-based and duplicates count repeatedly. Whitespace-only IDs count as present; a supplied verification list is not independent voucher authentication or an audit of extraction records.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the appropriate authenticated reference material, analytical protocol, and source records for a full laboratory assessment. Verify moisture basis, response factors, and extract/carrier definitions before comparing results.
