Description
Sum abs(response)*duration into absoluteResponseTime and entries with both flags true into supportedResponseTime; return their share when positive, otherwise zero with defined=false.
A pharmacodynamic model relates an exposure or occupancy measure to a response under explicitly supplied parameters. Baseline, maximum increment, half-maximal concentration, effect direction, and observation windows have distinct meanings. Evaluating one model term does not fit the curve or establish its clinical validity.
Sum abs(response)*duration into absoluteResponseTime and entries with both flags true into supportedResponseTime; return their share when positive, otherwise zero with defined=false.
When to use this tool
Use Response Support Window Share when you need this particular response-model term, scale conversion, panel duration, or support calculation.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter responseMagnitudes, durations, valid, baselineAvailable. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read absoluteResponseTime, supportedResponseTime, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Require aligned responseMagnitudes, durations, valid, and baselineAvailable arrays with nonnegative durations. Sum abs(response)*duration into absoluteResponseTime and entries with both flags true into supportedResponseTime; return their share when positive, otherwise zero with defined=false.1

| responseMagnitudes | Response Magnitudes | Required. Array of finite number; maximum items 256. |
| durations | Durations | Required. Array of finite number; minimum 0; maximum items 256. |
| valid | Valid | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| baselineAvailable | Baseline Available | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| absoluteResponseTime | Sum of absolute response magnitude times duration, not signed area. | Required. Finite number. |
| supportedResponseTime | Supported Response Time | Required. Finite number. |
| share | Dimensionless share under the stated denominator; not a percent numeral. | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the associated denominator or quantity is defined; read before using a zero placeholder. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Absolute magnitudes prevent positive and negative responses from cancelling. Overlapping windows and quality flags are not independently checked; this is support accounting, not an effect estimate or an assay validation.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a fitted and validated response model when a supplied local term is insufficient. Check exposure units, response direction, baseline, model assumptions, and observation support before comparing effects.
