Description
Select a periodontal site label from a caller-supplied six-site order.
Periodontal charts distinguish planned, excluded and unmeasured sites, anatomical ordering, reference landmarks and sign conventions. An unassessed site differs from a recorded negative finding, and an apical-positive coordinate needs its stated reference. These local records and corrections do not produce an examination, disease grade or treatment recommendation.
Select a periodontal site label from a caller-supplied six-site order.
When to use this tool
Use Periodontal Six Site Position Token when you already have toothCode, suppliedSiteOrder, zeroBasedSiteIndex and need to select a periodontal site label from a caller-supplied six-site order.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter toothCode, suppliedSiteOrder, zeroBasedSiteIndex. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token, siteLabel. Use the output convention below.
Require nonempty toothCode, exactly six unique nonempty site labels and safe whole index 0..5. Return the indexed label and JSON [tooth,label].1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| toothCode | Tooth Code | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| suppliedSiteOrder | Supplied Site Order | Required. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256. |
| zeroBasedSiteIndex | Whole index 0..5 into the caller-supplied six-label order. | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0; maximum 5. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| token | Token | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| siteLabel | Site Label | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The order is supplied rather than a validated anatomical standard; no site is identified or examined.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review the source chart's site order, landmark and sign convention before combining measurements. Apply the full documented examination and scoring method for an assessment; a site label, correction delta or recorded bleeding flag is only one record component.
