MDA Round Coverage
Summarize mass-treatment coverage over rounds and count rounds meeting a caller target.
Description
Repeated treatment rounds can have different eligible populations.
Repeated treatment rounds can have different eligible populations. Pooled coverage weights each round by its denominator rather than taking an unweighted mean of percentages.
The tool returns roundCoveragePercent (round coverage percent); roundsMeetingTarget (rounds meeting target); pooledCoveragePercent (pooled coverage percent). Input measurements and model parameters are supplied by the caller; the tool computes the stated summary rather than acquiring those measurements.
When to use MDA Round Coverage
Use MDA Round Coverage when you already have roundTreatedCounts, roundEligibleCounts, minimumCoverageFraction and want roundCoveragePercent, roundsMeetingTarget, pooledCoveragePercent. This is useful for checking a supplied calculation, documenting a measurement convention, or comparing observations prepared on the same basis.
How to use MDA Round Coverage and understand its results
- Enter roundTreatedCounts, roundEligibleCounts, minimumCoverageFraction using the field table below. Match the units, ordering and data boundaries described in the calculation.
- Run the tool after checking the stated bounds and matching paired observations or categories. A malformed request gives a tool error rather than a usable measurement.
- Read roundCoveragePercent, roundsMeetingTarget, pooledCoveragePercent. Use the calculation and interpretation below to distinguish amounts, ratios, signs and decision flags where applicable.
- Review the supplied parameters and assumptions before using the result in a report or comparing it with another observation.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type and bounds | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| roundTreatedCounts | Round treated counts | list of number | Required |
| roundEligibleCounts | Round eligible counts | list of number | Required |
| minimumCoverageFraction | Minimum coverage fraction | number | Required |
Check aligned counts with positive eligibility in every round. Return round percentages, binary flags for coverage at least the supplied threshold, and the pooled percentage.
round coverage% = 100 × treated/eligible; pooled% = 100 × Σtreated/Σeligible The symbols refer to the supplied quantities or generated values described above; unit conversions and comparison boundaries follow the stated implementation.

} Limitations and assumptions
The pooled denominator counts treatment opportunities across rounds, not necessarily unique people. Round coverage does not demonstrate sustained individual adherence.
Numerical inputs must be finite. The tool checks its declared input shape and calculation constraints; those checks do not verify the quality, calibration or representativeness of the supplied observations.
