Description

Audit explicitly required comparator-description fields in supplied research reports without an efficacy implication.

Evidence review distinguishes reporting completeness, source identity, timing, comparator descriptions, and the validity of a clinical claim. Matching metadata or calculating an interval cannot establish study quality or treatment efficacy. Measurement and protocol conventions need to remain explicit before records are compared.

Audit explicitly required comparator-description fields in supplied research reports without an efficacy implication.

When to use this tool

Use Study Comparator Reporting Share when you need this specific evidence-record, measurement, interval, comparator, or protocol check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter requiredFields, supportedFields. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read supported, required, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Deduplicate requiredFields and supportedFields matches. Return supported and required counts and share=supported/required when requiredFields is nonempty, otherwise zero with defined=false.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
requiredFieldsRequired FieldsRequired. Array of text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192; maximum items 256.

Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
supportedSupportedRequired. Safe integer.
requiredRequiredRequired. Safe integer.
shareDimensionless share under the stated denominator; not a percent numeral.Required. Finite number.
definedWhether the associated denominator or quantity is defined; read before using a zero placeholder.Required. Boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Field identities use exact strings and extra support cannot increase the numerator. Reporting completeness does not establish study quality, comparator validity, treatment efficacy, or clinical suitability.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use a substantive source and study appraisal for clinical claims. Verify methods, preregistration, reporting, comparator conditions, and measurement validity beyond matching labels or calculated completeness.
