Description
Compare supplied repeat research measurements without clinical interpretation.
Evidence review distinguishes reporting completeness, source identity, timing, comparator descriptions, and the validity of a clinical claim. Matching metadata or calculating an interval cannot establish study quality or treatment efficacy. Measurement and protocol conventions need to remain explicit before records are compared.

When to use this tool
Use Landmark Measurement Repeat Gap when you need this specific evidence-record, measurement, interval, comparator, or protocol check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter first, second. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read gap, absoluteGap. Use the output convention below.
Return gap=second-first and absoluteGap=abs(second-first).1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| first | First supplied value or token under the stated model. | Required. Finite number. |
| second | Second supplied value or token under the stated model. | Required. Finite number. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| gap | Signed difference under the formula stated above. | Required. Finite number. |
| absoluteGap | Absolute Gap | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Readings need one measurement unit and sign convention. Two values do not establish landmark identity, interrater reliability, measurement accuracy, anatomical dysfunction, or treatment response.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a substantive source and study appraisal for clinical claims. Verify methods, preregistration, reporting, comparator conditions, and measurement validity beyond matching labels or calculated completeness.
