Description
One signed trapezoid of a supplied bench load-displacement trace, without constitutive fitting or strength classification.
Orthopedic bench and imaging records combine force, displacement, geometric dimensions, coordinate frames, weights, and reference measurements. An ideal material term or dimensional margin depends on its model and units. It does not by itself establish implant compatibility, tissue behavior, or safe clinical loading.

When to use this tool
Use Mechanical Test Load Displacement Panel when you need this bench, geometry, reference, score-denominator, or measurement term from supplied data.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter firstForce, secondForce, firstDisplacement, secondDisplacement. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read signedWork, displacementIncrement. Use the output convention below.
Return displacementIncrement=secondDisplacement-firstDisplacement and signedWork=(firstForce+secondForce)*displacementIncrement/2.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- Force and displacement units determine work, such as N times m for joules. This is one trapezoidal signed panel; it is not an entire hysteresis loop or clinical load test, and the force sum can overflow even when a rearranged average would be finite.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a complete material, imaging, or assessment model for the intended question. Verify measurement units, calibration, load conditions, geometry, missingness, and reference assumptions before combining terms.
