Description
Dry two-phase model porosity and partial pore-fluid fill, without inferring clinical bone quality.
Orthopedic bench and imaging records combine force, displacement, geometric dimensions, coordinate frames, weights, and reference measurements. An ideal material term or dimensional margin depends on its model and units. It does not by itself establish implant compatibility, tissue behavior, or safe clinical loading.

When to use this tool
Use Bone Model Porosity Density Factor when you need this bench, geometry, reference, score-denominator, or measurement term from supplied data.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter solidDensity, measuredBulkDensity, fluidDensity, filledFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read voidFraction, filledBulkDensity. Use the output convention below.
For positive solidDensity, measuredBulkDensity within zero through solidDensity, nonnegative fluidDensity, and filledFraction in [0,1] return voidFraction=1-measuredBulkDensity/solidDensity and filledBulkDensity=measuredBulkDensity+voidFraction*fluidDensity*filledFraction.1

| fluidDensity | Fluid Density | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| filledFraction | Filled Fraction | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| voidFraction | Void Fraction | Required. Finite number. |
| filledBulkDensity | Filled Bulk Density | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Densities need one unit. The model attributes density deficit to void space and adds fluid to a supplied fraction of it; no imaging-based porosity, material composition, or clinical bone quality is established.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a complete material, imaging, or assessment model for the intended question. Verify measurement units, calibration, load conditions, geometry, missingness, and reference assumptions before combining terms.
