Description
Apply independently supplied image reference and depth scale factors without deriving geometry from an image.
Orthopedic bench and imaging records combine force, displacement, geometric dimensions, coordinate frames, weights, and reference measurements. An ideal material term or dimensional margin depends on its model and units. It does not by itself establish implant compatibility, tissue behavior, or safe clinical loading.
Apply independently supplied image reference and depth scale factors without deriving geometry from an image.
When to use this tool
Use Bone Image Calibration Depth Token when you need this bench, geometry, reference, score-denominator, or measurement term from supplied data.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter imageLength, referenceLength, referencePixels, suppliedDepthScale. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read calibratedLength. Use the output convention below.
For nonnegative imageLength and referenceLength and positive referencePixels and suppliedDepthScale return calibratedLength=imageLength*referenceLength/referencePixels*suppliedDepthScale.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| imageLength | Image Length | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| referenceLength | Reference Length | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| referencePixels | Reference Pixels | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| suppliedDepthScale | Supplied Depth Scale | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| calibratedLength | Calibrated Length | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- ImageLength and referencePixels must use the same image-coordinate unit, with referenceLength physical and depth scale dimensionless. The depth factor is assumed rather than derived from camera geometry; distortion and clinical accuracy are not validated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a complete material, imaging, or assessment model for the intended question. Verify measurement units, calibration, load conditions, geometry, missingness, and reference assumptions before combining terms.
