Description
Label an optometry record's supplied correction status.
Optical records distinguish sphere/cylinder powers, principal meridian axes, prism-base labels and eye-specific offset signs. A radial lens-blank margin is half its diametral margin under centered circular geometry. Local optical formulas and code labels do not perform refraction, verify fit or prescribe a lens.
Label an optometry record's supplied correction status.
When to use this tool
Use Optometric Uncorrected or Corrected Tag when you already have recordId, correctionStatus and need to label an optometry record's supplied correction status.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter recordId, correctionStatus. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read tag. Use the output convention below.
Require recordId nonempty and correctionStatus uncorrected, corrected or unspecified; format ID [status].1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| recordId | Record Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| correctionStatus | Correction Status | Required. Text; one of "uncorrected", "corrected", "unspecified"; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| tag | Tag | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
{
"input": {
"recordId": "R17",
"correctionStatus": "corrected"
},
"output": {
"tag": "R17 [corrected]"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- No visual test, actual correction, acuity, prescription or clinical result is evaluated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the complete verified optical prescription and lens/frame geometry for a design or fit analysis. Preserve sphere-cylinder axis and eye-specific direction conventions; a meridian sum or centered circular clearance is only one part of that calculation.
