Description

Split a supplied research lesion identifier under an explicit delimiter convention without characterizing lesions.

Research lesion records distinguish measured dimensions, geometric size models, censoring conventions, assessment denominators, and follow-up timing. An axis product, percent change, or coverage measure describes only its stated inputs and model. Such arithmetic does not automatically implement a clinical response criterion or validate a study.

Split a supplied research lesion identifier under an explicit delimiter convention without characterizing lesions.

When to use this tool

Use Research Lesion ID Split Token when you need this research measurement, assessment-base, source, or event-time calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter token, delimiter, expectedParts. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read parts, partCountMatches. Inspect partCountMatches before interpreting the associated values.

For nonempty delimiter and expectedParts from one through 256 split token literally. Return parts and partCountMatches on exact expected length.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Empty pieces and repeated delimiters are retained. No lesion identity, anatomical location, source namespace, or clinical coding validity is established by the part count.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the intended study protocol and a complete measurement or analysis model for a broader conclusion. Verify lesion definitions, censoring, measurement correspondence, time anchors, and missing-assessment policy.
