Description

Propagate an already resolved research anchor-date interval without clinical time-origin rules.

Research lesion records distinguish measured dimensions, geometric size models, censoring conventions, assessment denominators, and follow-up timing. An axis product, percent change, or coverage measure describes only its stated inputs and model. Such arithmetic does not automatically implement a clinical response criterion or validate a study.

Propagate an already resolved research anchor-date interval without clinical time-origin rules.

When to use this tool

Use Oncology Time Anchor Precision Flag when you need this research measurement, assessment-base, source, or event-time calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter observationDay, anchorLowerDay, anchorUpperDay. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read elapsedLower, elapsedUpper, exactAnchor. Inspect exactAnchor before interpreting the associated values.

For ordered anchorLowerDay<=anchorUpperDay return elapsedLower=observationDay-anchorUpperDay, elapsedUpper=observationDay-anchorLowerDay, and exactAnchor on equality of the bounds.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Inputs are integer day coordinates and negative elapsed values are allowed. The interval reflects supplied anchor precision rather than date parsing, a probability distribution, or a clinically adjudicated event time.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the intended study protocol and a complete measurement or analysis model for a broader conclusion. Verify lesion definitions, censoring, measurement correspondence, time anchors, and missing-assessment policy.
