Occupation Role Time Share

Normalize an explicit occupation-role duration to a compatible recorded-time denominator.

Description

Calculate an occupation role's recorded-time share.

Occupational-therapy records preserve the user's stated roles, goals, assistance and task context. Time shares and normalized preferences depend on their declared denominator or scale, while prompt counts are observations rather than measures of independence by themselves. Device geometry and loan balances need verified source records before broader interpretation.

Calculate an occupation role's recorded-time share.

When to use this tool

Use Occupation Role Time Share when you already have roleMinutes, totalRecordedMinutes and need to calculate an occupation role's recorded-time share.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter roleMinutes, totalRecordedMinutes. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read roleShare, otherMinutes. Use the output convention below.

Require totalRecordedMinutes>0 and roleMinutes within the total; return role/total and total-role.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
roleMinutesRole MinutesRequired. Finite number; minimum 0.
totalRecordedMinutesTotal Recorded MinutesRequired. Finite number; strictly above 0.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The denominator is recorded time, not automatically a whole day; roles, overlapping activities and suitable time allocation are not inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the original activity record, client-stated priorities and assessment instrument for a substantive assessment. Inspect actual devices and inventory when fit, condition or availability matters; scalar offsets and record counts preserve narrower facts.
