Description

Assistive-tool bench lever arithmetic with supplied efficiency.

Activity and assistive-task records distinguish planned, attempted, completed, assisted, observed, and optional components. Shares depend on the selected denominator and credit policy. A supplied code, geometry, or time-budget calculation is separate from evaluating an individual's function or safe access.

Assistive-tool bench lever arithmetic with supplied efficiency.

When to use this tool

Use Assistive Tool Lever Arm Mechanical Advantage when you need this specific task-count, assistance-code, timing, equipment-budget, or participation-record component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter effortArm, loadArm, efficiency, inputForce. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read idealAdvantage, effectiveAdvantage, outputForce. Use the output convention below.

For positive effortArm and loadArm, nonnegative inputForce, and efficiency in [0,1] return idealAdvantage=effortArm/loadArm, effectiveAdvantage=ideal*efficiency, and outputForce=inputForce*effectiveAdvantage.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Arms are perpendicular moment-arm lengths in one unit and efficiency is dimensionless. The ideal lever relation does not check geometry through motion, device strength, user capability, or safe assistive use.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the intended assessment and a complete task or access model when a local check is insufficient. Verify task definitions, credit policies, measurement units, and the context of the underlying observations.
