Description
Supplied research task-time accounting without recommended staffing or care durations.
Care and training records use task identifiers, source labels, counts, time intervals, observations, and accounting bases. Documentation support, actual delivery, and clinical quality are different questions. A local record rule or budget should be interpreted according to its explicit inclusion and denominator conventions.

When to use this tool
Use Research Care Task Duration when you need this care-record, observation, training, supply, time, or accounting component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter taskStart, taskEnd, suppliedPause. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read elapsed, activeDuration. Use the output convention below.
Require taskEnd>=taskStart and suppliedPause within their difference. Return elapsed=taskEnd-taskStart and activeDuration=elapsed-pause.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| taskStart | Task Start | Required. Finite number. |
| taskEnd | Task End | Required. Finite number. |
| suppliedPause | Supplied Pause | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| elapsed | Elapsed | Required. Finite number. |
| activeDuration | Active Duration | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- All times and pause need one unit and clock origin. Pause is a supplied accounting subtraction, not a measured intensity or verification of delivered care, adequate staffing, or clinical duration.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use authenticated records and the intended care, inventory, or training protocol for a full assessment. Verify source support, counting rules, time bases, and any contractual or consent conditions independently.
