Description
Retain clock provenance alongside an explicit timestamp precision envelope.
Care and training records use task identifiers, source labels, counts, time intervals, observations, and accounting bases. Documentation support, actual delivery, and clinical quality are different questions. A local record rule or budget should be interpreted according to its explicit inclusion and denominator conventions.
Retain clock provenance alongside an explicit timestamp precision envelope.
When to use this tool
Use Nursing Carelog Source Time Precision when you need this care-record, observation, training, supply, time, or accounting component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter timestamp, precision, sourceId, rounded. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read sourceId, earliest, latest. Use the output convention below.
For positive precision and nonempty sourceId return that ID and a centered interval timestamp+/-precision/2 when rounded, otherwise timestamp through timestamp+precision.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| timestamp | Timestamp | Required. Finite number. |
| precision | Precision | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| sourceId | Source Id | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| rounded | Rounded | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| sourceId | Source Id | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| earliest | Earliest | Required. Finite number. |
| latest | Latest | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Timestamp and precision need one unit and origin. Endpoint inclusion is not represented; the lower-edge alternative assumes truncation semantics and source identity, clock accuracy, and clinical event timing are not verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use authenticated records and the intended care, inventory, or training protocol for a full assessment. Verify source support, counting rules, time bases, and any contractual or consent conditions independently.
