Network: Http2 Stream Reserved Bit Check Tool

Inspect an HTTP/2 frame stream-identifier word, reporting the reserved high bit separately from the 31-bit identifier; reserved-bit presence is not treated as frame rejection.

Description

Parse rawStreamWord as an unsigned 32-bit decimal integer.

Packet headers encode several meanings in fixed-width fields. Bit positions, network byte order, and reserved values must be distinguished from validation of an entire message.

Parse rawStreamWord as an unsigned 32-bit decimal integer.

When to use this tool

Use Network: Http2 Stream Reserved Bit Check when you need to decode or encode one explicit packet field.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter rawStreamWord. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read result. Expand result to inspect the returned fields.

Parse rawStreamWord as an unsigned 32-bit decimal integer. Expose the top reserved bit and return the low 31 bits as a decimal streamId.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The reserved bit is reported rather than rejected; frame type and stream-state rules are not evaluated.
  • Outputs are nested inside result. Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Inspect the complete captured header and apply the relevant protocol's structural and state rules.
