Description
Compare posture and referencePosture literally.
Recorded lengths can use different postures or measurement conventions. A supplied correction translates a record to a comparison basis but does not replace a standardized measurement.
Compare posture and referencePosture literally.
When to use this tool
Use Infant Research Length Posture Tag when you need to apply an explicit posture correction to a recorded length.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter length, posture, referencePosture, correction, apply. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read matches, comparisonLength, applied. Inspect matches, applied before interpreting the associated values.
Compare posture and referencePosture literally. Add correction only when they differ and apply is true; report matches and applied separately.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- The correction and length share a unit and may produce a signed result; no standard correction or clinical growth interpretation is supplied.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Confirm the measurement protocol and correction source, and use an appropriate reference for any growth assessment.
