Leaching Recovery vs Time Calculator
Read actual timed dissolved-metal assay recovery, not changing-solid-residue recovery or forward shrinking-core kinetics. Caller independently verifies units, applicability and matching conditions; no operational recipe, safety certification, causal efficacy or legal/resource classification is inferred.
Description
Timed dissolved-metal measurements describe observed leach recovery relative to original metal.
Timed dissolved-metal measurements describe observed leach recovery relative to original metal.1
A measured curve supports interpolation within the sampled time interval.
When to use Leaching Recovery vs Time Calculator
Use this tool to calculate or review the supplied observations under the stated rules. Match completed survey or ledger observations by block, segment or stage and confirm their units and boundaries.
How to use Leaching Recovery vs Time Calculator and understand its results
- Match completed survey or ledger observations by block, segment or stage and confirm their units and boundaries.
- Enter observedLeachTimesSeconds, observedDissolvedMetalKg, observedMatchedOriginalMetalKg, callerQueryLeachTimeSeconds, using the field meanings and rules below, then run the tool.
- Read interpolatedObservedLeachRecoveryFraction, observedLeachRecoveryDerivativePerSecond. Inspect nested result fields where present, and review unknown records separately from known matches.
- Correct any reported input issue and run again. Before using a successful result, check the stated units, signs, reference scope and observation coverage.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| observedLeachTimesSeconds | Observed leach times seconds | list of number | Required |
| observedDissolvedMetalKg | Observed dissolved metal kg | list of number | Required |
| observedMatchedOriginalMetalKg | Observed matched original metal kg | number | Required |
| callerQueryLeachTimeSeconds | Caller query leach time seconds; use the exact reference token or coordinate domain stated below | number | Required |
Require original metal>0 and dissolved metal≥0≤original. Times and query must be nonnegative. Divide metal by original, then interpolate the recovery and return local secant derivative under the curve rules below. Recoveries need not be monotone.
The curve helper requires at least two aligned samples with coordinates strictly increasing and the query inside their closed range. Interpolate linearly between neighboring samples. At an exact interior knot use that value and the right-hand segment slope; at the last knot use the final left-hand segment. Queries outside the range fail.
recovery_i=dissolved_i/original; interpolatedRecovery=linearInterpolation(time, recovery, query) Use the matching field units and the exact boundary, ordering and reference rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| interpolatedObservedLeachRecoveryFraction | Interpolated observed leach recovery fraction; dimensionless fraction, not a percent | number |
| observedLeachRecoveryDerivativePerSecond | Observed leach recovery derivative per second | number |

Units, ledger boundaries, survey interpretation and model applicability must be independently established. These summaries do not assign reserve/resource classifications or establish support adequacy, ventilation safety or an operating setting. Interpolation does not support extrapolation or replace a protocol-specific physical model.
Missing required fields, unknown fields, wrong types and violated rules return input issues. Numeric values and outputs must be finite. Lists and matrices must be dense, without missing cells. Numeric lists allow at most 10000 entries; ordinary string lists allow at most 128 strings of 128 UTF-16 units each; numeric matrices allow at most 128 rows and 128 columns, subject to narrower requirements above.
Alternative or Complementary methods
For a related step, use Leaching Rate Constant Calculator: A first-order residual fit relates log unrecovered fraction to elapsed leach time. For a complementary comparison, use Flotation Recovery vs Time Calculator: Incremental flotation collections can be accumulated into a recovery history.
