Relief Tent Usable Berth Count

Reconcile explicitly disjoint relief-tent berth exclusions without assessing shelter suitability.

Description

Calculate a signed usable-berth count from supplied relief-tent records.

Historical and noncombat logistics records connect source conventions, museum dimensions, relief supplies and recorded service dates. A stock residual or nominal portion count is bookkeeping, while a scale factor describes supplied exhibit geometry. These limited quantities do not verify historical identity, suitable shelter capacity or protective performance.

Calculate a signed usable-berth count from supplied relief-tent records.

When to use this tool

Use Relief Tent Usable Berth Count when you already have totalBerths, reservedBerths, unusableBerths and need to calculate a signed usable-berth count from supplied relief-tent records.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter totalBerths, reservedBerths, unusableBerths. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read usableBerths. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative safe whole total/reserved/unusable counts; compute total-reserved-unusable with BigInt and export a safe integer.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
totalBerthsTotal BerthsRequired. Safe integer; minimum 0.
reservedBerthsReserved BerthsRequired. Safe integer; minimum 0.
unusableBerthsUnusable BerthsRequired. Safe integer; minimum 0.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
usableBerthstotal-reserved-unusable; may be negative for inconsistent supplied records.Required. Safe integer.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Negative counts are retained and unsafe outputs rejected; physical capacity, accessibility, allocation and safe shelter use are not assessed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile original historical records and physical inventories, and inspect dimensioned museum or shelter plans when relevant. Use complete logistics and site requirements for an actual allocation; local counts and margins are individual record components.
