Description

Add suppliedAnchorCorrection to suppliedDayIndex for anchoredDay, then subtract plannedResearchDay for deviation.

Age is a difference between an event and a selected origin. Gestational, chronological, corrected, and source-record coordinates can differ even when expressed in the same time unit.

Add suppliedAnchorCorrection to suppliedDayIndex for anchoredDay, then subtract plannedResearchDay for deviation.

When to use this tool

Use Research Visit Gestational Offset when you need to compare explicit age origins or recorded time coordinates.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter suppliedDayIndex, suppliedAnchorCorrection, plannedResearchDay. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read anchoredDay, deviation. Use the output convention below.

Add suppliedAnchorCorrection to suppliedDayIndex for anchoredDay, then subtract plannedResearchDay for deviation.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • All values share the same day convention; gestational dating and the correction's clinical appropriateness are not determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Keep the original timestamps and age definitions, and confirm the intended convention with the relevant clinical or research protocol.
