Description
Label a quotation's recorded on/off-record permission status.
Media records distinguish credited roles, permission labels, source versions, viewing-time overlap and platform rating scales. Simultaneous exposure must be counted once for union time, while normalized ratings remain positions on supplied scales. A recorded production or publication label does not verify authenticity, attention or rights.
Label a quotation's recorded on/off-record permission status.
When to use this tool
Use Media Quote On Record Off Record Tag when you already have quoteId, recordedPermissionStatus and need to label a quotation's recorded on/off-record permission status.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter quoteId, recordedPermissionStatus. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read label. Use the output convention below.
Require quoteId nonempty and an allowed recordedPermissionStatus; format ID [status].1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| quoteId | Quote Id | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| recordedPermissionStatus | Recorded Permission Status | Required. Text; one of "on-record", "off-record", "background", "unspecified"; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |

{
"input": {
"quoteId": "Q17",
"recordedPermissionStatus": "off-record"
},
"output": {
"label": "Q17 [off-record]"
}
} Limitations and assumptions
- A source label does not establish valid permission, confidentiality obligations or a right to publish.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Inspect the original program, source record, credit and permission documentation when attribution or publication matters. Use the complete diary or rating methodology for audience analysis, preserving overlap, scale and denominator definitions.
