Description

Count true votes; any false vote from a veto-right holder sets vetoed.

Quorum, veto, delegation, and limit checks apply declared organizational rules to supplied records. Numeric consistency is separate from establishing actual authority or valid procedure.

Count true votes; any false vote from a veto-right holder sets vetoed.

When to use this tool

Use Stakeholder Vote Explicit Veto Check when you need a reproducible check against explicit governance inputs.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter votes, vetoRights, minimumYes. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read yes, vetoed, passes. Inspect vetoed, passes before interpreting the associated values.

Require aligned votes and vetoRights. Count true votes; any false vote from a veto-right holder sets vetoed. Passes requires at least minimumYes and no veto.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • This assumes every false vote is a no vote rather than an abstention; organizational authority and voting rules are supplied externally.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Consult the governing policy and verify membership, delegation, and decision records with the responsible authority.
