Management: Decision Quorum Rule Result Tool

Evaluate an explicitly supplied inclusive rational quorum rule against counts, rounding required attendance up; not a legal or institutional quorum determination.

Description

Calculate requiredCount by rounding eligible × quorumNumerator / quorumDenominator upward.

Quorum, veto, delegation, and limit checks apply declared organizational rules to supplied records. Numeric consistency is separate from establishing actual authority or valid procedure.

Calculate requiredCount by rounding eligible × quorumNumerator / quorumDenominator upward.

When to use this tool

Use Management: Decision Quorum Rule Result when you need a reproducible check against explicit governance inputs.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter eligible, present, quorumNumerator, quorumDenominator. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read result. Expand result to inspect the returned fields.

Calculate requiredCount by rounding eligible × quorumNumerator / quorumDenominator upward. Compare present inclusively with that count.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The quorum fraction is supplied and zero is allowed; bylaw interpretation, voting eligibility, and special majority rules are not inferred.
  • Outputs are nested inside result. Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Consult the governing policy and verify membership, delegation, and decision records with the responsible authority.
