Description

Add amount and priorCommitments for totalCommitment.

Quorum, veto, delegation, and limit checks apply declared organizational rules to supplied records. Numeric consistency is separate from establishing actual authority or valid procedure.

Add amount and priorCommitments for totalCommitment.

When to use this tool

Use Delegated Authority Amount Margin when you need a reproducible check against explicit governance inputs.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter amount, suppliedLimit, priorCommitments, inclusive. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read totalCommitment, margin, withinByInputs. Inspect withinByInputs before interpreting the associated values.

Add amount and priorCommitments for totalCommitment. Subtract that total from suppliedLimit for margin; use ≤ or < according to inclusive for withinByInputs.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Use one amount unit; a true flag reflects supplied numbers rather than verified delegated authority or legal approval.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Consult the governing policy and verify membership, delegation, and decision records with the responsible authority.
