Description
Preserve explicit call-number prefix, numeric component and separator fields.
Library records distinguish copies, serial issues, leaf counts, field-state labels and edition-specific rights notes. A leaf may have two potential sides without both being printed or numbered. Due-date and hold-renewal arithmetic uses supplied calendar conventions rather than determining lending terms or access rights.
Preserve explicit call-number prefix, numeric component and separator fields.
When to use this tool
Use Call Number Prefix Numeric Separator Token when you already have prefixText, numericText, separator and need to preserve explicit call-number prefix, numeric component and separator fields.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter prefixText, numericText, separator. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read token. Use the output convention below.
Enter prefixText, numericText, separator using the field constraints below. Encode these values, in exactly that order, as a JSON array and return the serialized array as text in token. String values are preserved without trimming or external terminology lookup.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |

| prefixText | Prefix Text | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| numericText | Numeric Text | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| separator | Separator | Required. Text; minimum UTF-16 length 1; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |

| token | Token | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |

"prefixText": "QA",
"numericText": "76.73",
"separator": " "
},
"output": {
"token": "[\"QA\",\"76.73\",\" \"]"

} Limitations and assumptions
- The result records supplied values without validating a classification scheme. Sources and asserted relationships are not independently authenticated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Check the catalogue, physical item, field definition and original rights or lending record for actual status. Use the relevant complete cataloguing or calendar rule when a source label or supplied date offset is insufficient.
