Export Order Pack Count Residual

Reconcile explicit export-order units with full packs and a partial pack without rounding or enforcing shipping policy.

Description

Compare an export order with supplied whole packs and loose units.

Cross-border business records combine named parties, contract versions, currencies, fees, shipment terms and local-time transcriptions. A supplied rate direction or fee currency determines arithmetic, while an authentic-language or trade-rule label remains a record assertion. Local calculations do not establish actual settlement or governing obligations.

Compare an export order with supplied whole packs and loose units.

When to use this tool

Use Export Order Pack Count Residual when you already have orderedUnits, fullPacks, unitsPerPack, looseUnits and need to compare an export order with supplied whole packs and loose units.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter orderedUnits, fullPacks, unitsPerPack, looseUnits. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read packedUnits, unitResidual. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative safe whole ordered/full-pack counts, unitsPerPack>=1 and loose units in [0,pack-1]; packed=packs*unitsPerPack+loose, residual=ordered-packed.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • A negative residual is retained. Unsafe integer outputs are rejected; item identity, pack completeness, quality and shipment authorization are not verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the original agreement, invoice, shipment and payment records with their stated editions and currency bases. Use complete contractual and valuation rules for actual obligations; supplied shares, labels and conversions are auditable components of that review.
