Description

Add importedUnits to openingUnits, then subtract exportedUnits, domesticReleased, and destroyedUnits for closingBonded.

Shipment and bonded-stock accounting reconciles supplied quantities, package weights, and inventory movements. A numeric match does not authenticate documents or establish customs treatment.

Add importedUnits to openingUnits, then subtract exportedUnits, domesticReleased, and destroyedUnits for closingBonded.

When to use this tool

Use Bonded Stock Duty Suspension Balance when you need a transparent shipment or inventory-reconciliation term.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter openingUnits, importedUnits, exportedUnits, domesticReleased, destroyedUnits, dutyPerUnit. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read closingBonded, dutyOnRelease. Use the output convention below.

Add importedUnits to openingUnits, then subtract exportedUnits, domesticReleased, and destroyedUnits for closingBonded. Multiply domesticReleased by dutyPerUnit.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Outflows cannot exceed available units; stock statuses and duty rate are supplied, not a determination of customs suspension or release entitlement.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Compare source documents with physical records and verify the applicable logistics and customs requirements.
