Dissolution Aliquot Replacement Factor

Calculate explicit aliquot and remaining-volume ratios under equal-volume replacement without correcting a dissolution profile.

Loading tool…

Description

Calculate remaining-volume fraction and replacement-to-remaining ratio for one aliquot.

Pharmaceutical production records require explicit mass units, purity basis, sample-volume conventions and controlled dates. Mean form mass differs from active-content uniformity, while retest and expiry have different meanings. Supplied manufacturing terms do not establish quality, release, a preparation protocol or appropriate medication use.

Calculate remaining-volume fraction and replacement-to-remaining ratio for one aliquot.

When to use this tool

Use Dissolution Aliquot Replacement Factor when you already have vesselVolume, withdrawnAliquotVolume and need to calculate remaining-volume fraction and replacement-to-remaining ratio for one aliquot.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter vesselVolume, withdrawnAliquotVolume. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read remainingVolumeFraction, replacementToRemainingRatio. Use the output convention below.

Require vesselVolume>0 and withdrawn aliquot in [0,vessel); return 1-withdrawn/vessel and withdrawn/(vessel-withdrawn).1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
vesselVolumeVessel VolumeRequired. Finite number; strictly above 0.
withdrawnAliquotVolumeNonnegative and strictly less than vesselVolume; complete withdrawal is rejected.Required. Finite number; minimum 0.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
remainingVolumeFraction1-withdrawn/vessel, a single withdrawal term rather than cumulative dissolution correction.Required. Finite number.
replacementToRemainingRatioReplacement To Remaining RatioRequired. Finite number.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Complete withdrawal is rejected. This is one volume term, not a cumulative dissolution correction, mass balance or prescribed laboratory procedure.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the original batch, assay, reference-material and stability records with the complete controlled method. Reconcile sampling and unit bases before combining local terms; one mass fraction or date comparison does not validate product quality or authorize release.
