Description
Use produced or produced minus scrap as denominator according to useNetBase.
Packaging counts distinguish first-pass acceptance, rework, scrap, verified support, and remaining inventory. A reconciled total does not independently establish product or labeling quality.
Use produced or produced minus scrap as denominator according to useNetBase.
When to use this tool
Use Blister Count Scrap Base Flag when you need a supplied packaging count or support term.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter produced, scrap, inspected, useNetBase. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read denominator, inspectedFraction, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Use produced or produced minus scrap as denominator according to useNetBase. Divide inspected by a positive denominator; otherwise return zero and defined false.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| produced | Produced | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| scrap | Scrap | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| inspected | Inspected | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| useNetBase | Use Net Base | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| denominator | Denominator | Required. Safe integer. |
| inspectedFraction | Inspected Fraction | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the accompanying fraction has an available nonzero denominator. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Inspected cannot exceed nonscrap production regardless of denominator policy; the share does not establish inspection adequacy or product quality.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
