Description
Add returnedMass, usedMass, and scrapMass for accountedMass and subtract from issuedMass for residualMass.
Manufacturing mass comparisons depend on tare, moisture, exclusions, and dry-solids bases. A yield or residual is a bench accounting result rather than a quality-release decision.
Add returnedMass, usedMass, and scrapMass for accountedMass and subtract from issuedMass for residualMass.
When to use this tool
Use Batch Material Reconciliation Share when you need one explicit pharmaceutical mass-basis calculation.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter issuedMass, returnedMass, usedMass, scrapMass. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read accountedMass, residualMass, reconciledShare, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.
Add returnedMass, usedMass, and scrapMass for accountedMass and subtract from issuedMass for residualMass. Divide accounted by positive issued mass, otherwise return zero and defined false.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| issuedMass | Issued Mass | Required. Finite number. |
| returnedMass | Returned Mass | Required. Finite number. |
| usedMass | Used Mass | Required. Finite number. |
| scrapMass | Scrap Mass | Required. Finite number. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| accountedMass | Accounted Mass | Required. Finite number. |
| residualMass | Residual Mass | Required. Finite number. |
| reconciledShare | Reconciled Share | Required. Finite number. |
| defined | Whether the accompanying fraction has an available nonzero denominator. | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Over-accounting can yield a share above one and negative residual; no reconciliation tolerance or manufacturing approval is inferred.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the validated procedure, original batch records, and approved quality criteria for manufacturing decisions.
