Description
Apply firstPassYield to inputUnits, send a reworkFraction of failures to rework, and apply reworkSuccess once.
Production yields distinguish first-pass output, accepted rework, and final good units. Expected fractions, observed counts, and reporting bases should remain explicit.
Apply firstPassYield to inputUnits, send a reworkFraction of failures to rework, and apply reworkSuccess once.
When to use this tool
Use Production Yield Rework One Step Term when you need one supplied yield, rework, or effectiveness component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter inputUnits, firstPassYield, reworkFraction, reworkSuccess. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read firstPassGood, reworkInput, finalGood, scrap. Use the output convention below.
Apply firstPassYield to inputUnits, send a reworkFraction of failures to rework, and apply reworkSuccess once. Return first-pass good, rework input, final good, and scrap expectations.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- All three factors are fractions in [0, 1]; outputs may be fractional and this models one rework pass without measured uncertainty or quality approval.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
