Description
Multiply mass concentration by dilution, divide by molar mass for mol/L, then multiply by one billion for nmol/L.
Immune-assay data can contain raw signals, blanks, gated event counts, dilution labels, and research thresholds. Their units and denominators differ, and arithmetic on supplied values is separate from assay validation or clinical interpretation.
Multiply mass concentration by dilution, divide by molar mass for mol/L, then multiply by one billion for nmol/L.
When to use this tool
Use Immunoglobulin Mass Molarity Factor when you need one transparent research-assay calculation or event-accounting check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter gramsPerLiter, molarMassGramsPerMole, dilution. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read molesPerLiter, nanomolesPerLiter. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative gramsPerLiter and positive molarMassGramsPerMole and dilution. Multiply mass concentration by dilution, divide by molar mass for mol/L, then multiply by one billion for nmol/L.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| gramsPerLiter | Measured mass concentration in g/L before the supplied multiplicative dilution correction. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| molarMassGramsPerMole | Positive molar mass in g/mol, appropriate to the modeled material. | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| dilution | Positive factor multiplying the measured mass concentration, not its reciprocal. | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| molesPerLiter | Dilution-corrected molar concentration in mol/L. | Required. Finite number. |
| nanomolesPerLiter | Dilution-corrected concentration in nmol/L. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Dilution is a multiplicative correction to the supplied measured concentration, not its reciprocal; the molar mass and antibody composition must already be appropriate.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
