Antibody Binding Saturation One Point Term Tool

One-site equilibrium occupancy using free ligand and supplied Kd, plus an explicit linear nonspecific signal term; no parameters are fitted.

Loading tool…

Description

Return freeLigand/(Kd+freeLigand), bindingCapacity times that occupancy, and the bound signal plus nonspecificSlope times freeLigand.

Immune-assay data can contain raw signals, blanks, gated event counts, dilution labels, and research thresholds. Their units and denominators differ, and arithmetic on supplied values is separate from assay validation or clinical interpretation.

Return freeLigand/(Kd+freeLigand), bindingCapacity times that occupancy, and the bound signal plus nonspecificSlope times freeLigand.

When to use this tool

Use Antibody Binding Saturation One Point Term when you need one transparent research-assay calculation or event-accounting check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter freeLigand, dissociationConstant, bindingCapacity, nonspecificSlope. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read occupancy, specificBound, totalSignal. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative freeLigand, bindingCapacity, and nonspecificSlope and positive dissociationConstant. Return freeLigand/(Kd+freeLigand), bindingCapacity times that occupancy, and the bound signal plus nonspecificSlope times freeLigand.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Free ligand and Kd share concentration units, capacity uses signal units, and slope is signal per concentration. This is a supplied one-site model term without fitting, ligand-depletion correction, or biological validation.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
