Irrigation Window Support Share Tool

Calculate irrigation window support share from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Sum flow times duration over scheduled records, then over scheduled verified records; return their ratio or zero with defined false for zero scheduled volume.

Flow calculations relate volume, time, cross-section, velocity, and supplied model parameters. A local ratio or contribution does not by itself solve a complete hydraulic system.

Sum flow times duration over scheduled records, then over scheduled verified records; return their ratio or zero with defined false for zero scheduled volume.

When to use this tool

Use Irrigation Window Support Share when you need one explicit flow component with coherent units and references.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter flows, durations, scheduled, sourceVerified. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read scheduledVolume, verifiedVolume, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Require aligned nonnegative flows and durations with scheduled and sourceVerified flags. Sum flow times duration over scheduled records, then over scheduled verified records; return their ratio or zero with defined false for zero scheduled volume.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Flow and duration units must combine consistently into volume. Verification flags are supplied and zero share is a placeholder when undefined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use surveyed geometry, appropriate calibration, and a complete hydraulic model for operational or design decisions.
