Description
Return wet-minus-dry waterMass and its fraction of saturated-minus-dry.
Solution calculations use a common volume, mass, or concentration basis. Dilution factors, weighted mixtures, and unit conversions describe different operations; their directions and assumptions must be explicit.
Return wet-minus-dry waterMass and its fraction of saturated-minus-dry.
When to use this tool
Use Hydroponic Grow Plug Water Holding Term when you need one supplied solution or concentration-balance component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter wetMass, dryMass, saturatedMass. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read waterMass, relativeHolding. Use the output convention below.
Require dryMass no greater than wetMass no greater than saturatedMass, with saturatedMass above nonnegative dryMass. Return wet-minus-dry waterMass and its fraction of saturated-minus-dry.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- Masses share units and the same specimen basis; no water-density conversion, substrate suitability, or crop-water recommendation is made.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
