Description
Divide twice their absolute difference by the total for relativeRange and twice their minimum by total for minimumMeanRatio.
Flow calculations relate volume, time, cross-section, velocity, and supplied model parameters. A local ratio or contribution does not by itself solve a complete hydraulic system.
Divide twice their absolute difference by the total for relativeRange and twice their minimum by total for minimumMeanRatio.
When to use this tool
Use Dripper Emission Uniformity One Pair Term when you need one explicit flow component with coherent units and references.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter firstFlow, secondFlow. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read relativeRange, minimumMeanRatio. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative pair flows with positive total. Divide twice their absolute difference by the total for relativeRange and twice their minimum by total for minimumMeanRatio.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| firstFlow | First Flow | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| secondFlow | Second Flow | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| relativeRange | Relative Range | Required. Finite number. |
| minimumMeanRatio | Minimum Mean Ratio | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The denominator is the pair mean after rearrangement; this pair diagnostic is not a complete irrigation emission-uniformity statistic or sampling assessment.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use surveyed geometry, appropriate calibration, and a complete hydraulic model for operational or design decisions.
