Description
Return pumpingRate/drawdown and its reciprocal.
Groundwater components relate hydraulic head, storage, porosity, and supplied flow parameters. A local equation uses a declared aquifer model; it does not establish that model from field observations.
Return pumpingRate/drawdown and its reciprocal.
When to use this tool
Use Well Specific Capacity Drawdown Pair when you need one explicit groundwater or soil-storage component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter pumpingRate, drawdown. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read specificCapacity, drawdownPerRate. Use the output convention below.
Require positive pumpingRate and drawdown. Return pumpingRate/drawdown and its reciprocal.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| pumpingRate | Pumping Rate | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| drawdown | Drawdown | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| specificCapacity | Specific Capacity | Required. Finite number. |
| drawdownPerRate | Drawdown Per Rate | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Units are discharge per head and head per discharge; this one observation does not estimate aquifer transmissivity, sustainable yield, or pumping safety.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use suitable field measurements, aquifer assumptions, and a complete groundwater analysis for resource or safety decisions.
