Description

Return held minus release and release divided by the whole allotment.

Hospitality plans use room counts, covers, service durations, portions, and stock balances. A local component applies supplied operational rules without confirming actual availability, service quality, or adequate capacity.

Return held minus release and release divided by the whole allotment.

When to use this tool

Use Room Allotment Release Share when you need one explicit hospitality planning or reconciliation component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter allottedRooms, heldRooms, releaseRooms. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read remainingHeld, releasedShare. Use the output convention below.

Require positive allottedRooms, heldRooms within it, and releaseRooms within heldRooms. Return held minus release and release divided by the whole allotment.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • ReleasedShare uses allottedRooms rather than heldRooms; this supplied inventory calculation does not release an actual booking or validate contract terms.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Check the complete booking, layout, staffing, and service plan before relying on an operational estimate.
