Description

Multiply nonnegative nights, rooms, and feePerRoomNight for fee.

Hospitality charges depend on the unit of service, inclusion rules, deposits, commissions, and tax bases. Operation order can change an amount, while arithmetic alone does not establish contract terms or liability.

Multiply nonnegative nights, rooms, and feePerRoomNight for fee.

When to use this tool

Use Hospitality Resort Fee Night Basis when you need one supplied billing or cost component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter nights, rooms, feePerRoomNight, taxableFraction, taxRate. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read fee, tax, total. Use the output convention below.

Multiply nonnegative nights, rooms, and feePerRoomNight for fee. Apply taxableFraction in [0, 1] and nonnegative taxRate to that fee, then add tax.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Rates are fractions and amounts share one currency; actual fee disclosure, tax liability, exemptions, and monetary rounding are not determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile the result with booking terms, actual invoice rules, taxes, and monetary rounding.
