Description

Subtract cancellations within registered and add nonnegative complimentary for guests, then add staffMeals for totalMeals.

Hospitality plans use room counts, covers, service durations, portions, and stock balances. A local component applies supplied operational rules without confirming actual availability, service quality, or adequate capacity.

Subtract cancellations within registered and add nonnegative complimentary for guests, then add staffMeals for totalMeals.

Use Event Food Service Net Cover Count when you need one explicit hospitality planning or reconciliation component.

Limitations and assumptions

  • All are integer counts; guest and staff categories must already be compatible, without deduplication, attendance prediction, food safety, or menu planning.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Check the complete booking, layout, staffing, and service plan before relying on an operational estimate.
