Description
Multiply cartons by blistersPerCarton, add looseBlisters, multiply by unitsPerBlister, and add looseUnits.
Pharmacy inventory distinguishes physical stock, reservations, holds, lots, package units, and expiry records. A stock calculation describes supplied records and cannot establish that a medicine is suitable or authorized for use.
Multiply cartons by blistersPerCarton, add looseBlisters, multiply by unitsPerBlister, and add looseUnits.
When to use this tool
Use Medicine Carton Blister Unit Reconcile when you need one explicit pharmacy stock-accounting component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter cartons, blistersPerCarton, unitsPerBlister, looseBlisters, looseUnits, declared. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read calculated, discrepancy. Use the output convention below.
Multiply cartons by blistersPerCarton, add looseBlisters, multiply by unitsPerBlister, and add looseUnits. Return calculated units minus declared as discrepancy.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- Inputs are nonnegative counts with positive package factors; loose counts are not normalized against package size and no product identity or physical inventory is verified.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Reconcile verified inventory and product records within the pharmacy's controlled workflow before purchasing, releasing, or dispensing stock.
