Histology Stain Deconvolution One Channel Term Tool

One supplied inverse-stain-matrix row dotted with optical-density channels; no stain basis estimation or RGB-to-OD calibration is inferred.

Description

Return the sum of redOd, greenOd, and blueOd multiplied by their respective supplied coefficients.

Stain analysis distinguishes measured intensity, blank correction, optical density, and linear channel coordinates. These are different representations whose interpretation depends on calibration and the supplied stain model.

Return the sum of redOd, greenOd, and blueOd multiplied by their respective supplied coefficients.

When to use this tool

Use Histology Stain Deconvolution One Channel Term when you need one explicit stain-signal component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter redOd, greenOd, blueOd, coefficientRed, coefficientGreen, coefficientBlue. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read concentrationCoordinate. Use the output convention below.

Return the sum of redOd, greenOd, and blueOd multiplied by their respective supplied coefficients.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Optical-density coordinates and coefficients must follow the intended stain basis; this is one linear deconvolution coordinate, not a fitted stain matrix or measured physical concentration.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the complete imaging and stain calibration, deconvolution model, and appropriate professional interpretation separately.
