Dimidiation Half-Seam Merge Coordinate Solver
Map already normalized half-armorial coordinates across a dimidiation seam; no automatic crop, charge repair or grant approval.
Description
A half-merge construction maps separately prepared left and right point sets into a shared rectangular field.
A half-merge construction maps separately prepared left and right point sets into a shared rectangular field.1
Preparing the halves is separate from scaling their normalized coordinates.
When to use Dimidiation Half-Seam Merge Coordinate Solver
Use this tool to calculate or review the supplied observations under the stated rules. Establish the source tradition, viewing frame, coordinate units and independently annotated features.
How to use Dimidiation Half-Seam Merge Coordinate Solver and understand its results
- Establish the source tradition, viewing frame, coordinate units and independently annotated features.
- Enter viewerLeftHalfPoints, viewerRightHalfPoints, fieldWidth, fieldHeight, using the field meanings and rules below, then run the tool.
- Read result.leftMappedPoints, result.rightMappedPoints, using the output meanings and calculation rules below.
- Correct any reported input issue and run again. Before using a successful result, check the stated units, signs, reference scope and observation coverage.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| viewerLeftHalfPoints | Viewer left half points | numeric matrix | Required |
| viewerRightHalfPoints | Viewer right half points | numeric matrix | Required |
| fieldWidth | Field width | number | Required |
| fieldHeight | Field height | number | Required |
Use positive field width/height at most 1000000000 and nonempty two-column point matrices for both halves, with coordinates in [0,1]. Map left points to [x×w/2,y×h] and right points to [(1+x)×w/2,y×h], preserving order in each half.
left(x,y)=[xw/2,yh]; right(x,y)=[(1+x)w/2,yh] Use the matching field units and the exact boundary, ordering and reference rules above.
| Output field | Meaning | Value type |
|---|---|---|
| result | Calculated observation or reference | object |
| result.leftMappedPoints | left Mapped Points | list |
| result.rightMappedPoints | right Mapped Points | list |

} Limitations and assumptions
The inputs must already represent the desired half designs. The tool scales points, not crops complete coats, preserves topology or clips a shield boundary.
Missing required fields, unknown fields, wrong types and violated rules return input issues. Numeric values and outputs must be finite. Lists and matrices must be dense, without missing cells. Numeric lists allow at most 10000 entries; ordinary string lists allow at most 128 strings of 128 UTF-16 units each; numeric matrices allow at most 128 rows and 128 columns, subject to narrower requirements above. Extremely large composite outputs are rejected.
Alternative or Complementary methods
For a related step, use Marshalling Impalement Left-Right Assigner: Heraldic dexter is the bearer's right, which appears on the viewer's left. For a complementary comparison, use Four-Quarter Charge Layout Positions Generator: A four-quarter layout divides a rectangular envelope into two rows and two columns.
