Hematology Duplicate Count Percent Gap Tool

Mean-denominator duplicate relative percent difference; no laboratory repeatability acceptance threshold is chosen.

Loading tool…

Description

Return their mean and signed and absolute second-minus-first differences as percentages of that mean.

Blood-cell research counts require a defined eligible population, exclusion rule, sampled volume, and dilution basis. Their arithmetic fractions and densities are separate from validated laboratory results and clinical reference intervals.

Return their mean and signed and absolute second-minus-first differences as percentages of that mean.

When to use this tool

Use Hematology Duplicate Count Percent Gap when you need one transparent research count or denominator component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter firstCount, secondCount. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read meanCount, signedPercentDifference, absolutePercentDifference. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative firstCount and secondCount with positive sum. Return their mean and signed and absolute second-minus-first differences as percentages of that mean.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Percent differences use the pair mean rather than either single measurement; no analytical tolerance, repeatability criterion, or clinical acceptability threshold is selected.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
