Description
Return collected/target, collected/citrate, and target/citrate ratios.
Laboratory labels and specimen ratios preserve supplied units, methods, and preparation quantities. A matching token or numeric ratio does not demonstrate calibration traceability or an acceptable clinical specimen.
Return collected/target, collected/citrate, and target/citrate ratios.
When to use this tool
Use Citrate Tube Fill Reference Ratio when you need one laboratory-record comparison under supplied conventions.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter collectedVolume, targetVolume, citrateVolume. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read fillFraction, bloodCitrateRatio, targetBloodCitrateRatio. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative collectedVolume and positive targetVolume and citrateVolume. Return collected/target, collected/citrate, and target/citrate ratios.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| collectedVolume | Nonnegative collected blood volume, excluding the separate citrate volume. | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| targetVolume | Target Volume | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| citrateVolume | Positive citrate volume in the same unit as collected and target blood volumes. | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| fillFraction | Fill Fraction | Required. Finite number. |
| bloodCitrateRatio | Blood Citrate Ratio | Required. Finite number. |
| targetBloodCitrateRatio | Target Blood Citrate Ratio | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- CollectedVolume denotes the blood component on the same basis as targetVolume; ratios do not assess anticoagulant suitability, specimen acceptance, hematocrit adjustments, or coagulation validity.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
